How it works
Once a customer lands on MAS, the platform stops being a system of record and starts being able to act. This marquee is the expansion that attaches after the migration: it turns a running MAS into a reliability platform. The AI here is AI inside MAS — an assistant that works against your Maximo data and the MAS reliability apps. It is not a general-purpose AI product; it is the Maximo estate made smarter.
Three capabilities make up the offering, each its own leaf below:
- A Maximo AI Assistant — agentic and tool-using, it retrieves, drafts, and (with your approval) acts on work orders, assets, and integrations. It proposes; a human approves. That human-in-the-loop gate is deterministic and built in, not a setting you hope someone enabled.
- Health / Monitor / Predict Enablement — the MAS reliability apps configured to shift you from calendar-based maintenance to condition-, risk-, and predictive maintenance, on a Manage-to-Monitor-to-Health-to-Predict maturity arc.
- Visual Inspection (MVI) — computer-vision defect detection from photos and video, including drones, for inspection-heavy operations.
We build the assistant on our own framework — Catalyst, with its LLM, orchestration, and bidirectional MCP layers connecting to your Maximo data, gated by the same human-approval guard. It runs in your environment.
What you own at the end
The assistant we build, its configuration, and its tests are the client's, running against the client's MAS, free of any OPST runtime dependency. The reliability apps are MAS-native and stay with your suite. The intelligence is yours to inspect, not a vendor's opaque score.
FAQ
Is the assistant just a chatbot bolted onto Maximo? No. It is agentic and tool-using: it can take an action on your Maximo data, but only after a human approves it. The approval gate is a deterministic guard, not a probabilistic filter you have to trust. It proposes; you decide; then it acts.
Where does the asset-strategy work fit? This marquee configures and builds the MAS reliability capability — what the apps do and what the assistant can act on. The discipline of deciding what to monitor and why (criticality, reliability program design) is asset-decision work, and it lives in our EAM vertical.
