How it works

The same engineering behind our agent and MCP work makes an excellent internal tool — an AI assistant your own team uses, built on your stack rather than rented from a vendor. It takes one of two shapes, and often both. The first is an agentic coding or automation assistant: a built toolset (read, write, edit, search, run a command, fetch the web, delegate a subtask) over a typed tool registry with schema-validated arguments, with your tools plugged into the same registry. The second is a conversational surface — a chat interface over your knowledge base that streams answers with inline citations and file attachments.

What ties them together is that they run on your stack with your governance. The agent's tools are governed the same way our automation work is, with a human-approval control surface on anything consequential, and the internal capabilities can be exposed as MCP tools and one-command-installed into the Claude Code or Cursor your developers already run. The extension seam is clean: your team implements a tool, registers it, and the agent can use it — no rewrite.

Native versus built-and-operated — stated plainly

The agentic assistant — the toolset, the loop, the CLI host — is native OPST work. The in-site conversational chat surface was built and operated in the Catalyst lineage, and it rides a Catalyst web framework that is not yet in OPST; we frame it as built and operated, and an OPST-hosted live instance is gated on that framework landing here. The native, unblocked artifacts are the console ones — the agentic toolset and the MCP host wiring. We lead with those and are honest about the rest.

What you own at the end

The assistant, its toolset, the tool registry your tools plug into, and the tests are yours — source and all. It runs on your infrastructure under your governance; there is no OPST runtime your internal tool depends on.

FAQ

Can we wire in our own internal tools? Yes — that is the design. Each tool is a typed entry in the registry with schema-validated arguments, so your team adds its own tools to the agent's surface without touching the agent.

Is the conversational chat something you can host for us today? The chat surface was built and operated in production, but an OPST-hosted live instance is gated on a Catalyst web framework arriving in OPST. The agentic, console-based assistant is available now, unblocked.

How is it priced? Fixed-scope, fixed-fee. The assistant's shape, its toolset, and its governance points are pinned in the FRAME phase before any build starts.
